Alfa Romeo Brera S Coupe
Named after a posh suburb of Milan, the Brera was first seen at the 2002 Geneva Motorshow as a concept car, complete with gull wing doors. Such was the response, Alfa decided to put it into full production (minus the gull wing doors) as a replacement for the GTV and Spider.
Earlier this year, the result of a collaboration between tuning specialists Prodrive and Alfa Romeo engineers first saw the light of day.  They have created a special-edition Alfa Brera S that is available only in Britain. According to "What Car" magazine production was limited to 500 cars and we have one of them!

AC Cobras
Two more AC Cobras midway down the  High Street, are they real or are they Dax? we do not know. Neither have AC badges so maybe that answers the question. I bet they do not go any slower than the real article though.
We did manage a picture of the huge Edelbrock V8 engine.

Jaguar E Type
No car show would be complete without the classic of all classic cars. It first appeared at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961 and astounded the world. It was written that the cars used in testing cars could reach 150mph, although the cars that rolled off the production line were only capable of 140mph but as far as I am aware, there are no records of any being returned to the showrooms for that reason.. The interior had only two bucket seats but did at least have a practical luggage area behind them, complete with an opening rear door / tailgate.
We all know the E-type was an instant success.  The first production run have become known as the Series 1 and are now quite sought after.

Lotus Elise
The second series Elise commenced production in 2000. The one joining us today has an all important information sheet.
The Lotus uses a Rover K Series 1796cc double overhead cam engine which generates 143 bhp at 7000 rpm. It is transversely mounted mid car and is capable of 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and 0-100 in 14.4 seconds.
The body construction is of  lightweight composite panels fitted over epoxy bonded extruded aluminium.
Wow, that's technical stuff.  Thank you for the information.

Jaguar Daimler
Lovely iconic car another classic design. Unfortunately I have no information on this car. It dates from 1967 judging by the registration plate.
Why was the cafe behind closed?
Today of all days...

Alfa Romeo Giulietta
Built in 1955 this beautiful car is another veteran from previous shows. It first appeared in 1954 and run through to 1965. It had a twin OHC 1290cc engine generating 80bhp. 0-60 in 14 seconds and a top speed of 100mph. Not bad for 1954.
Early Sprint Veloce models had part aluminium body-panels and Perspex windows to save weight
A really good looking car.

Alfa Romeo Milano
Devoid of information on this other beautiful Alfa Romeo. The "Milano" name was revived for the more recent Alfa Romeo 75 in North America. I would love some information on this car.

Land Rover Series 1
Another great information sheet with technical information and a little about the cars history. Unfortunately it rained before I reached it tucked down in Alfa Romeo corner by the War Memorial and the consequence is it is mostly unreadable! Anyway what I can make out is the 2 Litre 4 cylinder Petrol engine that provides 52bhp at 4000 rpm. The car originates from the Northamptonshire area.

Thank you to Mark Tobin who wrote to me with these details of
this car LBD 230

The Land Rover MK1 was first registered on 31/12/1954, fitted with 2000cc Rover, "Inlet Over Exhaust" petrol engine developing 52bhp and 102 Ibs. torque. Four forward gears - no synchromesh on 1st and 2nd, low ratio and high ratio four wheel drive. Also fitted on this vehicle is overdrive and "Free Wheel Hubs".
These cars are part of the British motoring Heritage - the Granddaddy to all the millions of Land Rovers/Range Rovers/ Freelanders/Tauregs/Shoguns etc etc etc made since. - Thanks Mark
